Our products are manufactured with the assistance of a supplier in Spain. We may share information necessary for production and fulfillment with that supplier.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you use our website, we may collect:
• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses.
• Order details: products, designs, dimensions, appliance brand and model, purchases, transaction status, shipping and customer-service history. Payment processing is handled by payment providers; we do not claim to store complete card numbers ourselves.
• Customization materials: measurements, photographs, designs, messages and other information you send to make or support a custom order. Photographs may contain personal information if they show people, homes or other identifying details.
• Website and device information: IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, browser and device details, pages viewed, referring pages, cookie identifiers and interaction or advertising events, subject to applicable consent requirements.
• Marketing information: newsletter subscriptions, consent preferences, campaign engagement and relevant purchase or browsing activity where permitted.
• Form and support submissions: details you enter into forms or send in emails and messages.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use personal information to:
• Process payments and orders, produce customized products and arrange shipping.
• Communicate about orders, mockups, measurements, approvals, delivery, returns and support.
• Maintain purchase and accounting records and address fraud, disputes or legal obligations.
• Improve the website, products and customer experience, including understanding site usage.
• Send newsletters, promotions and abandoned-checkout communications where permitted, with an unsubscribe option.
• Measure advertising performance and deliver or personalize advertising where legally permitted and, where required, after consent.
• Maintain a reference database of appliance dimensions and models to make future ordering easier. Where practical, we separate measurements from names, addresses and other identifying details.
4. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING IN THE EEA/UK
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases depend on the activity:
• Contract: fulfilling orders, producing custom products and providing requested support.
• Legal obligation: tax, accounting and legally required records or responses.
• Legitimate interests: appropriate fraud prevention, service improvement and limited recordkeeping, after considering individuals' rights.
• Consent: non-essential advertising cookies and similar tracking where required, and marketing where consent is the appropriate basis.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already lawfully performed.
5. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND DATA SHARING
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, subject to applicable law. Recipients may include:
• Shopify, which powers our online store, and payment providers that process transactions.
• Mailchimp, which helps us manage marketing email subscriptions and campaigns.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (including Google Ads, Google Analytics and YouTube), Pinterest and other advertising or analytics providers, where those integrations are active and permitted by your privacy choices.
• Shipping and delivery companies, such as carriers used for your order.
• Our manufacturing and fulfillment supplier in Spain, to the extent needed to produce and ship customized products.
• Trustpilot and other review-service providers when review invitations or integrations are used.
• Customer-support, form, product-option, order-status, site-management and automation app providers, to the extent their services require access to information.
• Professional advisers, fraud-prevention providers and public authorities where lawfully necessary.
We do not describe all of these disclosures as a sale of personal information. Certain targeted-advertising disclosures may nevertheless be classified as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under applicable US state privacy laws. Where those laws apply, we provide the relevant choices and rights.
6. COOKIES, ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Our website uses essential cookies and may use analytics and advertising technologies, including Shopify tools and pixels or tags from Meta, Google and other advertising partners. These tools may record interactions with the site and help measure campaigns or show relevant advertisements.
We use Shopify's built-in cookie consent banner for visitors in relevant regions. Where consent is required, non-essential technologies should activate only after valid consent. You can manage applicable cookie choices through the privacy controls presented on our website, and you can also use browser settings to restrict cookies. Some features may not work properly without essential cookies.
NOTE FOR REVIEW: Confirm that all installed third-party and custom pixels actually honor Shopify's consent settings. Confirm that a persistent way to reopen cookie preferences is available where required.
7. EMAIL MARKETING
If you subscribe or otherwise lawfully receive marketing from us, we may use Mailchimp to send product news, offers and related communications. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe option. You can also contact us to request removal from marketing lists. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary order and service emails.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, taking account of tax and accounting requirements, contracts, customer support, legal claims and privacy rights.
• Order records: We currently retain historical Shopify orders, including older purchases, for business and recordkeeping purposes. We periodically need to review whether identifiable records remain necessary and respond to valid deletion requests subject to legal exceptions. This policy does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period.
• Appliance measurements: We retain appliance model and dimension information long term to maintain and improve our technical sizing database. We aim to store that database without unnecessary customer identifiers. If measurements remain linked to identifiable customers, privacy rights and retention principles still apply.
• Customer photographs and custom design files: We keep these while reasonably needed to prepare, produce and support orders, and delete them when no longer needed, subject to legal or dispute-related needs.
• Marketing information: We retain relevant subscription and suppression records as needed to manage marketing choices and comply with law.
• Analytics and advertising information: Retention is also affected by the settings and policies of the relevant providers.
We may anonymize information so that it can no longer reasonably identify an individual and retain that anonymous information for product and operational analysis.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
KUDU is a US company and works with providers and a manufacturing supplier in other countries, including Spain. Personal information may be processed in the United States, European Economic Area or other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we use applicable legal transfer mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers. Contact us if you would like information about safeguards relevant to your data.
10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of certain targeted advertising or data sharing. Some requests may be limited by applicable legal obligations or exemptions.
To make a request, email neta@kudumagnets.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond within applicable legal time limits. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data protection authority.
For US residents, applicable state law may provide additional rights regarding targeted advertising, sales or sharing of personal data, and appeals of certain privacy decisions. We will honor verified requests to the extent required by the law applicable to us.
11. CHILDREN
Our website is intended for adults making purchases and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for marketing purposes. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
12. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, together with our service providers' safeguards, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
Our site may link to third-party services or websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy when our services, practices or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent.
